BCSD Dance is an inclusive course for Grade 8–12 students at the BC Provincial School for the Deaf. Students of all experience levels are welcome. It is the only all-Deaf dance class in Canada that offers course credit.
Students learn and create together in a small, supportive group, building choreography, teamwork, and performance skills. Dance supports coordination, rhythm, confidence, and self-expression through a visual and kinesthetic learning environment.
Students also have the opportunity to perform in the year-end dance recital in May, celebrating Deaf culture and creativity. Students who complete Grades 10–12 dance courses may be eligible for a graduation scholarship.
